GDG Indore is a volunteer-run community for developers, designers, students and founders in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. We put on evening talks, full-day workshops, watch parties, hackathons, and DevFest every December.
Everything we run is free to attend and open to anyone. That’s deliberate. A good chunk of the room at any given event is students who haven’t shipped anything yet, sitting next to people who’ve been doing this for fifteen years. Both get something out of it.
How this relates to Google
Google Developer Groups are supported by the Google for Developers program, and we use Google’s platform to run our events. That’s where the relationship ends.
GDG Indore is an independent group; our activities and the opinions expressed here should in no way be linked to Google, the corporation.
Concretely: we’re not Google employees, we don’t speak for Google, and nothing said at one of our events is a Google position. We’re a group of people in Indore who organise meetups.
Where we meet
We don’t have a venue of our own — we’re hosted by companies and institutions around the city, which is why the location changes. Places that have had us:
- Indore Marriott Hotel, Vijay Nagar
- Sayaji Hotel, Scheme 54
- Devi Ahilya University Auditorium, Khandwa Road
- Labh Mandapam, Abhay Prashal
- Walkover, Scheme 54
- Nextcoworks, AB Road
If your office could host 40–300 people for an evening or a Saturday, we’d like to hear from you: gdgindore@gmail.com.
